Executing Testskripts from Testmanagement-Tool

Hello,
at the moment I'm working on a project at a company which is starting to automate their tests with Ranorex.
My part is to define the process from getting the testscripts from version control (we are using ClearCase UCM) to execute the tests in a virtual machine.
For this situation I try to decide what Software is needed for managing the testexecution.

Has someone made experiences in using a Testmanagement-Tool like Rational Quality Manger for executing the testscripts? The sources should be build just before the test-execution. For this action I think we'll need a build-tool --> How can this tool be integrated in the testexecution?

Thank you for your input.
Anja

Hello Anja,

The Ranorex Project is a Visual Studio Project. Therefore the same method as compiling Visual Studio Projects can be used. Have a look at this stackoverflow entry.

You can try it out.

Hi hobli,

the new version of Ranorex includes a Test Suite which will allow you to manage your test cases.
Have a look at following links to learn more about the Test Suite:

You can also manage and execute from TestShell.
