Hi,

read forum some post that this has been asked previously. Is this coming feature?

Could I use Ranorex Webtestit to test Android app and web view?

Hi,
Ranorex Webtestit is a Selenium related tool. I'm not quite sure if it does support mobile testing, but from the description it looks as if it supports endpoints? So there may be a chance to use it with mobile browsers/simulators? Anyway, how I understand it, it's just a supplement to Selenium, and not a fully featured solution, like Ranorex Studio? PLus it's still in beta phase. If you are a Ranorex Studio user, I would suggest to stick with Ranorex Studio ;)

Hi odklizec,

yes, I am a happy Ranorex Studio user :)

Just this mobile testing gives me a headache :(

It is done with XWalk / Crosswalk (not a coder so cannot say it in details) and when asked from developers, they asked that if Ranorex can support testing of Web Views.

When read from forum, it seems to be not supported by Ranorex Studio?

I have tried to use "automate the Android OS"
https://www.ranorex.com/help/latest/web ... stem-apps/

But it does not work so smoothly. And when showed this problem to developers, they asked to ask if "Ranorex can support testing of Web Views."

So, should I try to go with Ranorex Webtestit or can I use Ranorex Studio?

Hope someone have struggled with same problem and can have a help here...

Hi,

As it looks, Crosswalk is dead? So I would not expect any special support for it to be added either in Ranorex Studio or Webtestit ;)

If you check entire discussion, there is explained why Crosswalk webview elements are not accessible and a possible workaround:

Hi odklizec,

thank you for your answer.

I think it is possible to do the testing with Ranorex Studio :)

Little bit more work and still some difficult places but I have gained a lot
