Ranorex support over RDP

Hello,

How can I automate the Desktop Application that is being accessed through RDP. Currently the Application is identified as single image and I’m not able to identify the application elements individually.

Also, I can’t install the Ranorex tool on the same machine on which desktop Application is installed. There are some restrictions from our client.

Is there any workaround this? Please share.

Hi,

The only way how to automate a remote system is to install and use Ranorex on that remote system. There is no way to automate remote system via RDP. Please follow this chapter in Ranorex user guide:
