Transaction - measuring time between certain steps

Good Day,
I have question regarding “transactions”, which are not supported as native functionality but as I think they can be achieved using code modules.
Given that We need to measure time from one moment in application to another (like time needed for certain operation like: application response time after pressing certain button etc.) – how such operation could be achieved using code module?
