Hi, I see a lot of "Download trial" buttons, however, I am an existing customer with a valid license - where do I find the latest version to download? Do I use the "trial" button?

Hi,

You can download all Ranorex versions here:
https://www.ranorex.com/free-trial/

In addition to the link Pavel provided, there is a link to the newest version on the Startup page when you start Ranorex.

This is how you piss of customers even more! I have a valid license, and now I must enter some stupid form for a trial version and AGREE TO GET SALES & MARKETING SPAM in order to upgrade to the latest version? Are you serious?

Hi,

As already mentioned from krstcs, all existing customer can download new Ranorex versions directly from within Ranorex Studio:

There is no need to fill out any free trial masks. In case you need a specific version, you could also easily reach out to their support team as well.

Cheers,
Robin

Yeah, but you realize that's only useful if you already have Ranorex Studio installed. This creates an unnecessary chicken and the egg situation. For example, what if I need to format my machine, or upgrade to a new one? The current flow requires re-signing up for unnecessary spam in order to get the product that's already been paid for, or reaching out to the support team.

Fantastic customer experience /s

Hi,

I agree that requesting user information again and again for each download or repeatedly filling the support form is quite annoying. It would be nice to have a customer area, where we can login (ideally, unified with forum credentials) and where we can download files or request a support. That would be ideal solution of the problem and everyone would be happy? ;)

PS to support: sorry for posting direct link ;)

Hello dattaei,

Thank you for your post.

Please contact us via the Ranorex Support Query in case you need a setup file of a specific Ranorex version.

This is currently the only way to qualify the inquirer as an existing customer.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,
Robert

Yes. If you see the previous posts on this thread, that's the problem.

Can confirm that this is annoying. Our team has multiple licenses and I am trying to download and setup Ranorex on new machines. I have to sign up every single time in order to download. Not only that, in a few days, the Ranorex sales team will start calling and emailing me about my experience with the free trial, not knowing that I am already a customer. This whole workflow is very unacceptable.

I find this link quite handy for when I need to go back to previous versions of Ranorex where I haven't saved them on our network - https://www.ranorex.com/download-archive/

Note it only contains the latest iteration of a particular version e.g. in Ranorex 8.1 you will see v8.1.2 and not 8.1.0 or 8.1.1.

Even for paying customers it's not always possible to download the update through the landing page in Ranorex itsself - we are behind a corporate firewall and it just says "Connection Offline"
