Taskbar window options (cascade, stack, etc.) ignored?

In my suite setup routine, I'm trying to handle the occasional problem where our WPF AUT has been run with a higher screen resolution than is used by the VM when our nightly test suite is launched. In this case, the AUT's UI will be partially offscreen and various controls inaccessible.
To correct this manually in Windows 10, I would right-click the taskbar and click "Cascade Windows" from the context menu. I created a recording in our suite setup to do just that. However the click on the menu item appears to be ignored. I can manually take the mouse and try to repeat these steps while Ranorex is running, and it seems all the menu items ignore clicks.
Does Ranorex disable or trap/ignore these clicks purposefully? Is there a way to override?
