Spying an object and automatically adding to repository

Hello,

When spying objects, there is some functionality that will automatically add the spied object to the repository which is open in Ranorex Studio. Is there a way to turn this feature off?

Hi,

I'm not experiencing anything like that with most recent Ranorex 8.3.1? What Ranorex version do you use? And please describe exact steps you are using.

Ranorex should add things to repository, only during recording. And in Spy, you must explicitly tell him to add selected element to repo (via right click menu).

BTW, looking at user guide, it seems that the repo elements are automatically added if there is activated Instant Tracking. Are you using Instant Tracking?

IIRC, that behaviour has happened to me in every version since I started using Ranorex at v6. I'm currently using v8.2.1 and I continue to have to delete unwanted mess appearing in my repositories whenever I Spy. I realise we're up to v8.3.1 at the moment. I have not yet upgrade as I need to wait for a convenient time when everything aligns well.
