Cannot open or create a Solution file

I am on Day 2 of my evaluation of Ranorex, and when I tried to open the solution I created yesterday the application just hangs.

When I try to create a new solution same problem.

I don't see any log files in the application folder.

Please advise.

Hi,

Please go to Ranorex Settings and enable Trace logs, then try to open the solution again and see the RanoreStudio and solution-related logs at defined path.

My guess is that it's a permission related issue? Are you sure you are starting Ranorex with the same user account as before? Have you tried to run Ranorex Studio as Administrator?

I do not have Administrative privileges.

The problem seems to have disappeared after opening one of the sample solutions first.

I have a sales engineer call this morning so hopefully we can resolve my issues then.

Hi,

Good to hear the problem disappeared. Anyway, if you want to use Ranorex seriously, you will need Administrator privileges, because debugging is not possible if Ranorex is not started as administrator.
