Ranorex rebuilding often

Hi,

With the newer Ranorex 3.3, there seems to be a lot of unnecessary rebuilding. I can do a rebuild all of my solution and then immediately try to run a selected item in a recording and it seems as if everything is getting rebuilt again according to the output window. Is there a way to turn this off? I have 8 projects in my Ranorex solution and it is making some of the simple tasks that used to be quick take much longer.

Thanks,
-Nick

Hi Nick,

there is no rebuild done when you press "Play", just a build. Either way it should be quite fast.
Do you run your project on a virtual machine? This may cause delays.

One thing you can do is to close the not required codemoduls, repositories and recordings and turn off the code synchronization (Tools - Options... - Ranorex Code Generation: un-tick the "automatically update and synchronize..." option).

Are there many reports in your report-folder? There is done a refresh each time you press play which means that the "poject-tree" is reconstructed. Delete the reports from the report-folder to speed up your test-runs.

Kind regards,
Larissa
