Hi,
at the start of Ranorex, it always updates some code. This will be recognized as change in the source control, although there wasn't a change. How it is possible to prevent Ranorex from auto-updating? Tools->Options->General->Ranorex Code Generation->Automatically update and synchronize code doesn't work.

Bye

Hello,

Could you please give us more information on this issue?
Which files are recognized as change in your source control?

The setting 'auto-updating' should prevent from updating recording or repository changes.

Regards,
Markus (T)

Hi Markus,
disabling auto-updating doesn't prevent the updating.
I think the record modules are recognized as changed. When i open the solution the updating is taking place, after closing it without making additional changes and reopening it at the pc of my workmate, the updating is taking place another time.
The encoding is the same.

Thanks

Hi,

Which Ranorex version is in use on the machines?
Please make sure which files are marked/recognized as changed by your source control tool. Are you sure the recording modules are the changed ones?
Are you doing anything else besides of opening the solution?

Regards,
Markus

Hi Markus,
the version of Ranorex is 4.0.2.21666. Directly after opening Ranorex it will update all the record modules, which (exactly the .rxrec and .vb, not the .UserCode.vb) will be marked as changed in the source control of the team foundation server. After i checked the files with the source control tool, it revealed that the Ranorex version of me and my co-worker differed. So i'm sorry that was the reason for the update.
