Breaking down an object in RanorexSpy

Hello,

I have an application that uses information that is embedded into a cell in a table. The issue that I am having is that the Spy is unable to read all the information within the cell. I just want to figure out if it is possible. If not, I know of a way around it, but would like to use the validation based on what I see. I have a snapshot of the object in question.

I have Ranorex version 4.1.4.16685.
I run on Windows 8, but I have had the same issues in previous Operating Systems

Hello afredrick,

Please add the table in question to the GDI capturing list as described here
If you are still not able recognize the elements within the row-element it’s due to a missing accessibility implementation of the control.

I may ask if you share your workaround to us?

Regards,
Robert

Hey Robert,

I gave that a shot, it still does not recognize the information within the cell.

The work around I have is just to use the SQL database and get the information I need which works fine, I just wanted to see if there was a way to use Ranorex to capture the information on the screen.

Thanks,
Tony

Hello afredrick,

That’s a pity.
Thank you very much for the information.
