Browser not found

I am attempting to use the "Open a Browser" feature to do a recording. When I choose Google Chrome I always get the error message "The browser 'Google Chrome' could not be started. Please verify that the browser is installed." The interesting thing is that the browser is installed in the normal location.

I am able to get recordings to work however when I use "Run an Application" and enter the path to Google Chrome.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? Is there somewhere I can tell Ranorex where my Google Chrome is installed so that it can find it? I have installed Google Chrome in the standard way.

It does, however, find IE 8 which is also installed.

Hello dallyingllama,

You may try doing a reinstall of Chrome and Ranorex. But first, please verify that you are running Ranorex with administrator privileges. You may also want to try re-instrumenting Chrome to ensure that the extensions for Ranorex are in place, more information on that can be found here:
