Dear Support,

I am just trying to download the updated version. However it always brings me to the following page:

I have to fill out the download form and later on I got a 5.4.0 download link.
Actually I just want to upgrade my existing version 5.3.2 to the version 5.3.3.

If you start Ranorex Studio, there is displayed "Start Page" tab where you can find "Download Latest Version" button. This will bring you directly to the download archive, where you can select version you want...

Oops I did go to the start page and missed download latest version link at the bottom.

I have a floating license.

Does that mean I need to install RanorexLicenseServer 5.3.3.exe on the floating License server
before I can install Ranorex 5.3.3.exe on my development computer?

Yes, you should always update your license server with the version that corresponds to the version of Ranorex Studio that you are using. And you should always keep all installs of Ranorex at the same version in order to avoid version issues and code problems.

We updated our server to 5.4 so I download Ranorex 5.4 on my computer.
However, after the upgrade installation, the folder Ranorex 5.3 beneath C:\Program Files (x86) is not removed.
Not sure why it is so?

It can be removed manually without causing any problems.

There are many software install packages that do not remove the folder when uninstalling because there are files that are created when the actual application is run that the installer/uninstaller doesn't know about. So, to be safe, they don't delete anything they didn't already know was there. That includes configuration files and such that are created when the installed application is run for the first time, but are not included in the install package in order to save space or make sure the system creates a valid file for the location it is installed.

Hi, don't mean to hi-jack the thread but thought this was the correct place to post my question: does the order matter in which you update the floating license manager version versus the client version? I.E. is it required that we always update one before the other? Hope my question makes sense and thanks. -PH

I would highly recommend updating the license server first, but I don't think it is technically required in ALL cases. However, there may be times in the future when the new version of the client needs functionality in the new version of the license server or it won't work correctly. That hasn't happened yet, to my knowledge, but it is possible.
