Our developer team is using Cucumber to write acceptance tests and we would like to integrate Ranorex. Is it possible and if yes, how?

Hi Stein,

I think over the Ranorex API it should be feasible, may also in the studio over user code, for e.g. may you can use Specflow.net for it.
But til today I'm not convinced about GUI test case written in Gherkin Style, I'm still searching for a advantage.

I'm still following the rule, that a manual tester should be able to create automated simple workflow test cases, without any programming knowledge. Of course at the end a test automater has to revise the script and make it as stable as possible.
But may someone has experience and can share some advantages in use with Ranorex?
It makes sense to use it in B2B, it "describes the test case" and it makes it easier to understand for someone who has no experience in coding.

Regards
Dan

Hi,

Basically, Ranorex does not support an out-of-the-box integration with BDD tools. Some customers used SpecFlow in combination with Ranorex, though. SpecFlow is the official Cucumber implementation for .NET and since Ranorex is also based on the .Net framework you can use it.
