Service app is not installed or running on the device

I am getting this spurious error message all of a sudden.
Service app is not installed or running on the device. Automation capabilities will be limited. For example starting and stopping apps will not be possible. To enable all functionality make sure the service app is installed and was started.
The App I am testing is a Desktop Application which is already running.

When this warning appears the test just hangs and does nothing.

In order to analyze the issue I would need more detailed information.
May I ask to upload a compressed Ranorex Report of the failed test case?

It wasn't a spurious message after all.

Just a little confused there. The warning came out during a Test case that was using a Desktop Application.

However, there was an IOS Test Case in the Suite, and there was an error connecting to that device.

It was this that was being referred to. Once I solved the connection error, the warning went away.

My confusion arose because the warning appeared in the wrong place..
