I have installed Ranorex 5.4.6 and have Firefox 45. But it says I cant use the addon as the source is not trusted. Can anyone please tell me what to do?

I guess the error message you are getting is for old (pre-Firefox 40) addon? Aside old Ranorex addon, there should be installed also new one, called Ranorex Automation NG. If you cannot find such addon in installed FF addons, run the Ranorex instrumentation wizard and try to instrument your instance of FF. Or you should be able to install the NG addon manually (as described here: http://www.ranorex.com/forum/compatibil ... tml#p37154)

Thanks. I did install Ranorex before installing firefox and hence the problem i guess. Ranorex instrumentation wizard solved the issue
