Hello,
I'm not sure I comletely understood the licences of ranorex and need your help
What licence arts would you recommend me for the following structure:
There should be 10 persons able to create testscripts and a possibility (server?) for the automated night runs of the suites.
Thanks in advance!

Hi morssiber and welcome here,

As for running night tests on server, the best would be to get Runtime license. This license will not allow you to create or edit your test scripts, just to replay them. Runtime license is always "floating", which means you can run your test on different computers, but you can run only one test at a time (with single Runtime license). In other words, with only one Runtime license available, you cannot simultaneously run your tests on two or more machine. You will either have to wait for finishing previous test before running a new one, or buy more licenses.

As for the development (Studio) licenses, here you need to decide if all 10 (or more) developers will develop tests at the same time. If yes, then it's probably better (cheaper) to get node-locked licenses, which means each developer will get his own machine-locked license.

I think it's reasonable to have at least one "floating" Studio license in company, which can be accessed from any computer in network. It's good for example in cases you need to debug something on different (other than primary dev.) machine. But as in case of "Runtime" license, only one floating Studio license could be used at the same time. If you want multiple people working from multiple computers at the same time, you will have to get more floating licenses (or as mentioned, node locked license per user/machine).

Hope this helps? ;)
