I previously wrote a post because I had issues with DevExpress and Infragistics.
I put another here in bugs, because I noticed it applies to outlook and Windows(!) itself.

When it works (snapshot from a Win32 xp, but I had positive experience with Win7 64bits), it looks like that: When it doesn't works, on a Win7 64 bits, it looks like this (I"m targetting the Chrome icon): Do you need more info?

I've never saw issue like this (with windows taskbar). So in my opinion, it's something computer related? Unfortunately, it's pretty hard/impossible to tell what exactly is wrong without examining your PC I would suggest you to reinstall .Net and all Ranorex prerequisites. Eventually, try some of the MS's "fix tools", like this one for .Net:

And finally, try to reinstall Ranorex entirely.

BTW, what version of .Net is installed on your PC?
