Hey Ranorex Team,

I may have found a bug with the function 'ExecuteScript'.
When using the function while operating in the 'Google Chrome' Browser the function works correctly, but when using Internet Explorer the function doesn't seem to execute any script.
I am using Ranorex 5.1.2.19431 Add-On for Internet Explorer. And I develop in c# with the library version 5.1.2.19431.

Hi Janik,

Ranorex 5.x is way too old and no longer supported. If you can reproduce your problem with most recent 7.1.2, Ranorex folks will surely fix it. But I don't think there is something they will be willing to do for 5.x version. It's a dead horse ;)

BTW, what else you could try is to update Ranorex with the last version covered by your license. Maybe they already fixed the problem long time ago and you just need to update your installation a bit?

Thank you,

I will try your suggestion.
Problem is my Company only uses the old Version of Ranorex.
Maybe I can get them to buy the new version.

Best regards.

Well, that's too bad. It seems your company is not very serious about test automation? On the one hand, they want it, but on the other hand, they are not willing to invest in the future. The test automation tools need to be updated to stay reliable and current with the latest GUI technologies. Good luck!
