Hi,
I'm using Ranorex3.2 to testing Flex applications. And I notice the behaviour as subject says.
I'd like to know if this works as design or is a bug?

Are you sure that those flex objects are the same? If I expand the children, the are different in each object. Did you check the DOM Object with the Developer Tool of IE if there are only one flex object? Therefore just hit F12 key on your keyboard when the page is loaded in IE.
