Pressing the Home or End keys while inside an edit field in a table jumps to the first/last column in the table instead of putting the edit cursor at the start/end of the selected field.

For example, while editing the default values of some variables, I clicked in the value field and hit Home, expecting the cursor to jump to the start of the value field, but instead the field was unselected and the 1st column in the table was selected.

Home/End should respect the selection of fields in all areas, so if the cursor is inside a field, Home/End should not jump out of that field.

To which control do you refer to, to our variables windows in Ranorex Studio?
When I click in the text field to edit the text and then press home it jumps to the start position of the text field. The text filed needs to be in edit mode before the home key will work as desired.

Markus, I'm in the middle of reinstalling due to other issues, so it might be the my install was invalid, so let me get back to you.

However, I was in edit mode in the variables window on the default data column when I noticed this.

Anyway, let me see how it is after the re-install.

OK, so this is still an issue, and it is a bug, not a problem with my install.

The problem is that it happens only if, while in edit mode, you select all of the text.

So, in edit mode, do a ctrl-A to select all of the text in the edit area (notice this just selects the text, not the whole field), then hit HOME. Instead of un-selecting the text and moving the cursor to the beginning, it will select the first column, as if you were not in edit mode.

Selecting just a portion of the text works as expected, the cursor will move to the start of the field, and the text will be un-selected.

Selecting ALL of the text works as if the FIELD was selected, but it shouldn't.
