There is some info on the web regarding add ons, other info regarding patches to IE\Windows. This seems to happen with some frequency… the below event log info is from a Windows 8.1 desktop. The add ons which are enabled are the Ranorex add on only.

Please include the following when raising issues on the forums:

1. ***Ranorex Version (5.4.4 is current)***
2. Windows Version
3. Technology of system under test
4. A Ranorex Snapshot (not a screenshot) of the item in question, if applicable
5. The script or code in question, if able

In this case, have you tried uninstalling Ranorex and trying it again without Ranorex installed? Please uninstall and then reboot in order to ensure that old Ranorex libraries are no longer referenced.

If that works, please re-install Ranorex 5.4.4 (http://www.ranorex.com/fileadmin/downlo ... -5.4.4.exe) and try it again (older versions are no longer supported). If it still happens in 5.4.4, then it might be a bug. If it doesn't, then it was probably an install problem.
