Wait for - what is the default behavior in 9.1.1?

Post by qa-auto » Tue Aug 20, 2019 7:00 pm

Hi,

Can someone clarify the expected behavior of "Wait for" in 9.1.1? I read some other older posts that explain the behavior in previous releases but I want to make sure I understand the function as of now.

I am seeing it actually pause for the MAX time even though the element is on the screen which is making simple actions take longer than I expected.

Thanks!
Still new =)

Hi qa-auto,

This is not the expected behavior and the wait-for action should continue as soon as it meets the defined parameters (exists/not exists/etc...). Only static Delays wait regardless. Are you able to provide a full Ranorex report (compressed) of the run as I suspect something else is going on.

Looking forward to your response!

Regards,
Ned
