What is RepositoryImages?

Post by HansSchl » Fri Aug 14, 2020 8:13 am

Ranorex creates the RepositoryImages subdirectory and sometimes I find a *.rximgres binary file inside this directory. What is it for? Should I put this file or directory under source control? Are they required for running the test?

Hi,

Repository Images folder and rximgres files are created by image-based recording. These screenshots are associated with repo elements and are used just for image-based steps (image-based clicks, screenshot validations, etc...). You should not need to put rximgres files to source control, because they are generated during test build.
