Whitelist with wildcards?

Post by dmconsulting1 » Mon Dec 02, 2019 4:58 pm

So trying to automate the install and Ranorex has issues because the setup file is the build number, so it shows in the whitelist as that. That only works if that is the build you are using from then on, but when doing 4+ builds a day, that isn't realistic. Is there a way to whitelist "All the things" related to say P38Setup* vs having to add P38Setup1.2.20191202.03 only to have to add P38Setup1.2.20191202.04 an hour later?

Hi,

Ranorex whitelist supports regexes and wildcards since 9.1. If you are using something older, you need to update to Ranorex 9.1 or higher.

I am using 9.2, I don't see where I can do that.

Hi,

You should be able to add regexes via “advanced” dialog in whitelist window. See the User Guide...
