Ranorex 2.3 released with support for Flex 4 and AIR 2
We are proud to announce that Ranorex 2.3 is released and available for download. The new version includes the following new major features and improvements:
- Support for Flex 4 and AIR 2 Applications
- Floating License option
- Transparent Automation of 32bit/64bit
Full Support for Flex 4 and AIR 2 Applications
The Ranorex Flash/Flex Test Automation Plug-In now also supports testing of Adobe Flex 4 and Adobe AIR 2 (Beta 2) applications. Adobe's new spark control family is fully included and enables great recognition of the latest flex controls.

This new version allows handling of many different flash/flex use-cases, to enable automation for any specific type of application.

Floating License option
In addition to the machine-bound license (node-locked license), Ranorex now offers floating licenses as well. This new concurrent license enables to share licenses between multiple computers.
The new floating licenses will be available soon in the Ranorex online store.
Transparent Automation of 32bit/64bit
The new Ranorex 2.3 bit bridge handles testing of 32/64 bit based applications on 64 bit operating systems automatically. Set up your test cases on 32 bit operating systems and run them on 64 bit.

- A number of RanorexStudio debugging issues have been fixed
- Fixed localization problems in Ranorex files (rxrec, rxsnp)
- Fixed incorrect screen rectangles of elements in nested framesets in Firefox 3.6
- Fixed a memory leak in the Firefox plugin
- Fixed a bug which caused Ranorex Studio to (rarely) crash when changing repository item properties
- Fixed unhandled ThreadAbortExceptions thrown by Find/FindSingle methods when used in special locations (e.g. static constructors)
