Help make Ranorex better

To enhance your Ranorex experience, we invite you to share anonymous usage statistics. This data helps us identify and improve key areas of our products.

What type of data is being collected?

We are primarily interested in how our customers use our software and how certain features are accessed. In Ranorex, there are many different ways and workflows to achieve individual goals. We aim to improve commonly used workflows and make your daily automation tasks easier. Examples of monitored actions include (but are not limited to):
  • Different types of test execution
  • Working with the Ranorex Object Repository
  • Connecting and using mobile devices for testing
  • Working with Module Groups

What type of data is NOT being collected?

At no time will we access and/or transmit the actual contents of any Ranorex object (Repository, Recording Module, Code Module, etc.). Individual and sensitive parts of any test execution, like data sources, user code, and recording steps remain on your side. We are not interested in the details of testing, but rather in the broader scope of how the different Ranorex components are being used. The transmitted data will not be forwarded to Ranorex partners and/or other third parties and will only used internally by our product development.

How is the collected data being used?

All participating data points are compressed into data streams, which are aggregated and transformed for trend and BI analyses. The results of the data transformation process influence future product development decisions.

How to turn anonymous usage statistics off

Participating in the anonymous usage statistics is entirely voluntary. After opting in to the process, you can opt-out at any time. Simply go to Ranorex Settings, select the tab “Advanced”, and uncheck “Send anonymous usage statistics”.
