What is AI Guidance?

AI Guidance is a new feature in DesignWise that accelerates one of the most critical steps in model-based testing: defining parameters and values. Powered by Sembi iQ, this tool analyzes your test documentation—whether it’s a requirements doc, test plan, or user story—and generates a high-quality draft model directly inside DesignWise.
Whether you’re new to DesignWise or managing complex projects with dense documentation, AI Guidance helps you start faster and test smarter.

Key Benefits

  • Speed: Generate a working test model in minutes—no manual entry, no prompt writing.
  • Flexibility: Upload text-based documents, user stories, or requirements in most formats. No special preparation needed.
  • Smarter Testing: The AI understands testing techniques like boundary value analysis, and equivalence classes.
  • Fully Integrated: Built right into the Parameters screen, with a dedicated UI that keeps you in control.
  • Iterative Refinement: Accept, reject, or regenerate values on the fly—AI adapts to your model’s evolving state.

What’s Included in the Beta

The beta includes five powerful AI actions, all within the Parameters section of DesignWise. You can:

  1. Generate a parameter set from uploaded docs.
  2. Add missing parameters via AI.
  3. Generate a specific parameter’s values.
  4. Add more values to the existing parameter
  5. Reduce the number of values for the existing parameter
